New & Updated Agency Fields Across Search Modules

With the recent release, the existing set of Agency fields used in each search module (for example Agency Name, Agency Type, etc.) will be retired and updated with new versions. We'll also be adding new Agency fields for an enhanced search experience. You will not have to take action based on these updates, but it's important for you to be aware of the changes and the updates to your existing saved searches that use Agency filters today.

  • Your existing saved searches are going to be updated to use the new set of Agency fields. Click here for further details about the saved search migrations and tips to review your migrated searches.
    • This applies to searches created in the following modules: Bids & RFPs, Co-ops & Contracts, Spending & POs, Meeting Intelligence, Contacts
    • ALL your searches will be updated so that the new set of Agency fields are available
    • Searches that are filtered by an Agency field, for example Agency Name or Agency Type, will be mapped to use the values in the new version of the applicable Agency field

    • Any alert settings will be copied over to your new search and you'll start receiving alerts using the new agency fields
    • We will provide a link back to the original version of your saved search in read-only mode if you want to compare your updated search to your original search.
    Agencies copy
    • Your searches should remain very consistent, but we recommend that you review and compare to ensure they are accurate. In particular, we recommend you review the below two filters if they are in use for a search:
    • Agency Name: In order to standardize Agency data across GovSpend, there are some slight changes to given Agency names. It's important for you to review your selections in the Agency Name field to ensure all relevant agencies are selected in your new search.
    • Agency Type: We've introduced new Agency Types into this filter and made it consistent across all search modules. Click here to review how we've mapped the old Agency Type values to the new. This is worth you reviewing to potentially refine your searches further!
    • Any NEW searches you create will use the new set of Agency fields.

  • You will have access to the following new Agency fields for all the search modules upon initial release:
