In this article, we'll cover how to create and edit a new RFP in GovSpend, alerting companies that you are in the market for their product or service.
Creating a Request
1. Click the 'Create Request' button.
2. Add a name, the specific details of your request, the due date and time, the max number of responses you want, and any attachments you would like to include with the request.
3. You will be prompted to include a "Service or Delivery Address". Once you create an address it will be saved for your next request and you can select it from the drop down menu.
4. Click the 'Categories' button to select your products categories
5. Enter product keywords in the search box and results will populate automatically
6. Click the 'i' icon in the top left hand corner of any category to see the UNSPSC code associated with the category along with sub-category and commodity information
7. When you are ready to select a category, click the 'Add' button.
8. The category will move to the right side of the screen, indicating that it has been selected. To remove categories, simply click the red 'Remove' button.
9. Once you are finished selecting categories, click the 'Done' button.
10. You can choose to send your request to All Relevant Companies, Relevant Companies Based on Socio-Economic Classifications or Nobody I'll Send the Link Out Myself
11. Verify the information you entered and then click the 'Save Draft' button.
12. Click the 'Publish Request' button. Your request will be published and available to companies for viewing/quoting. To view your published requests, click 'Your agency's name Requests' in the top left corner.
Editing a Request
1. In your list of requests, check the Draft or Open boxes in your left-hand filters menu to narrow your list to drafts or published requests.
2. Click the draft you wish to edit and click Edit Request.
- To extend the due date, choose a new date from the calendar view; dates that have passed will be greyed out and will be unelectable.
- To extend the time:
- Click the scheduled time in the right side of the calendar view.
- Choose a new time by selecting a future hour and/or minute. If needed, you can toggle between AM and PM.
3. Make your changes and click the Save button.
