AI Purchase Order Categorization
With over 1.4B PO line items in GovSpend, identifying actionable data can often feel like finding a needle in a haystack. We’re here to help!
We’ve introduced AI to categorize and standardize purchase orders using the industry-standard UNSPSC Code system (product/service categorization system). Scrap the complex keyword combinations and get more relevant results with a simple filter!
- AI Purchase Order categorization is currently available in Spending
- Filter your search results by product/service categories like Software or Office Supplies to get more actionable results using fewer keywords
- Search and identify relevant categories within the UNSPSC code system via a searchable hierarchy filter
- View the full hierarchy classification for each line item in your search results and export with the click of a button

Spending "Issued Date" Filter: Filter Default Set to "Last 60 Months"
We've updated the "Issued Date" filter in the Spending Module to load the Last 60 Months (Last 5 years) of Purchase Orders by default. This helps improve the focus of your search to the most recent and relevant results. To modify that time range, simply use the dropdown to select a different range, enter an exact time range, or clear the filter.
Contacts Module: Search Results Page Updated to Table View
We've updated the search page in Contacts to be a table view like many of the other search modules in GovSpend. You can now see up to 250 results at once, view the contact details within the results table, sort your results, and modify columns in view. For more information check out our updated help documentation.
Exports: New Excel Format for Exports
You can now select to export your search results in excel format in addition to CSV. This will ensure compatibility with Microsoft Excel so you can make the best use possible of your exported results. For more information check out our updated help documentation.
